System Reliability project area

System Reliability deals with the functional reliability, availability and maintainability of  a complex entity of interconnected technical elements. Examples are energy storage systems or the drive train of electric or hybrid vehicles.

System reliability can be determined either experimentally, or by analytical means on the basis of simulation. In particular, interrelated loads of an electrical, mechanical, chemical and/or thermal nature are taken into account.
