System Reliability

Reliable electromobility

Safety and reliability of electric vehicles are of great importance for customer acceptance and equal to range, comfort and price. In the area of System Reliability - Future Mobility at Fraunhofer LBF, we bundle our scientific competencies with regard to the development and application of analytical and experimental procedures as well as numerical simulation methods for the evaluation of sensitivity and robustness of complex systems in the context of electromobility.

The research and development activities of the System Reliability department include the development and application of methods for reliability and lifetime assessment of traction components of electric vehicles. For this purpose, state-of-the-art testing and test environments are available for multiphysical testing of energy storage systems in vehicles.
